Payment Policy
1. Doctors
Doctors on the My Doctorss platform have the following guidelines related to payment and appointment status updates:
- Completion Requirement: For the payment to be fully processed, the doctor must complete the appointment or patient visit. This ensures that payment is only made for fulfilled services.
- Wallet Credit Timeline: When a patient books an appointment, the payment amount will be reflected in the doctor’s wallet within 24 hours after the appointment is completed. The doctor can then withdraw the credited amount as per the platform’s withdrawal options.
- Appointment Expiration and Status Update: All appointments must be updated by the doctor by the end of the scheduled day. If the appointment is not completed, it will automatically expire, and no payment will be credited to the doctor’s wallet. Therefore, the doctor should make sure to update the appointment status (completed or not completed) to ensure proper payment handling.
- Platform Service Fees: My Doctorss may deduct a small platform fee from the doctor’s wallet per completed appointment. The fee structure, if applicable, will be detailed in the doctor’s account settings.
2. Patients
Patients booking appointments through My Doctorss should be aware of the following payment and refund policies:
- Doctor Cancellations: If the doctor cancels an appointment, the full booking amount will be credited back to the patient’s wallet. The actual booking amount can be withdrawn at any time, but any service or processing fees (if any) credited back are not withdrawable and can only be applied to future bookings.
- Patient-Initiated Cancellations: If a patient cancels an appointment, no refund will be given, and the booking amount will not be credited back to the patient’s wallet. Patients are encouraged to ensure their availability before confirming appointments.
- Using Wallet Credits: The actual refundable amount in the patient’s wallet can be either withdrawn or applied to future bookings. Non-refundable credits (e.g., booking fees returned after doctor cancellations) are reserved strictly for future appointment bookings.
- Partial Refunds in Exceptional Cases: If an appointment cannot be completed due to unforeseen technical issues on My Doctorss’s side (e.g., platform downtime), a partial refund may be issued to the patient’s wallet for use on future bookings.
